The most common complaints about pool software, and what we did about them.
We read through public reviews of pool service software on Capterra, Software Advice and GetApp. The same frustrations come up again and again. Here is how BookinRight answers each one.
Based on themes in public software reviews. We don’t name other products here, and every BookinRight answer above describes how it works today.
Per-pool pricing adds up fast.
In this category, per-pool pricing commonly runs $1 to $2 per pool, every month. Enter the size of your route to see what that means.
Everything a pool service company runs on, in one place.
Customers, visits, products and bookings, with none of the enterprise bloat.
Weekly pool plans and customers
Add each pool with its address, how often you service it (weekly, every 2 weeks, monthly) and the amount. Tag and group customers, like “Tuesday route” or “salt pools”, so you can find any set of them fast.
Visit reports with readings
Log the tasks you did from your own checklist, the readings you took, notes, and the products you used. Send your customer a summary by email, so they can see you showed up.
Chemical and product inventory
Track what is on your truck, its cost, and when you are running low. See which customers cost you the most in products, so you can price your plans fairly.
Online booking for the extras
Openings, closings, green pool cleanups, equipment repairs. Customers book on your page or on your own website. US businesses can take a deposit or the full amount by card.
Service updates in seconds
Rain delay or a route change? Send an update to every customer, one group, or the ones you pick. Promotional emails only go to customers who gave permission.
Logins for your crew
Give each technician their own login with only the access you choose. They see their own bookings in My schedule, and you see what happened and who did it.
Set up in an afternoon, not a month.
Create your account
Just your name, email and a password. You land in your dashboard and a short walkthrough helps you set up your business. You can skip it and come back any time.
Add your pools
Add each customer with their address, plan and amount. Set your own visit checklist, and add the services you offer for extra jobs.
Log each visit
Record readings, tasks and products, then send your customer the summary. Your records build up, so every pool has a history.

Questions pool companies ask.

What is pool service software?
It is software that helps a pool cleaning or pool service company run the business: the customer list, the weekly route, records of each visit, chemical readings, scheduling and getting paid. BookinRight covers customers and recurring plans, visit reports with readings and products used, inventory, and online booking.
Do I pay per pool or per technician?
Not during the beta, because it is free. The core system is not priced by the pool or by the technician, and we will announce pricing well in advance. Optional extras always show their price before you turn them on, and nothing is charged until you say so.
Can I track chemical readings and what I used at each pool?
Yes. Every visit report has places for the readings you took, the tasks you did, notes, and the products you used from your inventory, with their cost. BookinRight records the numbers you type. It does not test water or calculate dosing for you yet.
Will my customers get a report after each visit?
If you choose to send it, yes. Your customer gets a summary by email and does not need an account. It is a simple way to answer the “did you even come?” question before it is asked.
Can I bill my weekly customers automatically?
Not yet. You can save each customer’s plan and amount for your own records, and take card payments for bookings (a deposit or the full amount) in the US. Automatic recurring billing is on our list but is not available today.
Does it work on Android and iPhone?
Yes. It runs in your phone’s browser, so there is no app to install or update, and it works on iPhone, Android and laptops. There is no offline mode yet, so you need a signal to save a visit.
Can I move my customers over from my current software?
There is no customer import yet. You can add customers one at a time, or tell us what you need. You can download all of your BookinRight data, plus CSV exports of customers and bookings, whenever you like.
Can I use it for pool openings, closings and green pool cleanups?
Yes. Add each one as a service with its own length and price. Customers can book them on your booking page, or you can add them yourself. Your weekly route customers stay in your customer list.

Run your pool route without the per-pool fees.
